Our Mala necklaces are designed as beautiful, everyday wearable pieces while still honouring the authenticity of traditional Mala beads. Every Mala is designed and handmade on the island of Bali, Indonesia using the traditional technique of hand-knotting between each bead. This method not only strengthens the piece but also creates the soft, fluid movement that makes malas so comfortable and natural to wear.

Traditional Malas contain 108 beads plus a guru bead — a sacred number used for counting mantras in meditation and spiritual practice. While malas have deep roots in Buddhist and Hindu traditions, today they are also worn simply as beautiful necklaces that carry a sense of meaning and symbolism.
